As part of the Balance series, Arc de Retour embodies a moment of playfulness and of calm. Anneke captures the point that the highly toned body of a dancer stretches out, with her back arced, her foot playfully in the air to remind the viewer to take time out. The fine balance of life is measured in calm as much as in motion, in relaxation as much as in tension. This piece reminds us to reflect, breath and relax. Edition of 11.
